There is just something about the contents and the author’s style that makes people want to keep reading them until the end. Some of these books are also classic books with timeless stories that kids from generation to generation can enjoy. Some of these books also received awards for being great children’s books. So I highly recommend adults, children and anybody at any age range to read these books because they are very entertaining and the characters are very memorable.

It is not just me that enjoys them, there are also a lot of people all over the world that enjoys these books. I highly recommend these books to parents to read to their children. Most of these books uses the imaginative powers of the human mind so these books are also a great way to practice and maybe improve a child’s imagination.

Here are some books that I highly recommend for children. They are so good, I read them for my enjoyment even though I’m already an adult with access to novels, mysteries, and other mature book genres. Sometimes these books are even better than watching television, games, or any form of entertainment. Some of these children books that I recommend lack pictures and illustrations though that they may feel like small novels.

 

1. The Little Prince  - ISBN 0152023984, 9780152023980. 91 Pages

One of the best books for children. This book was written around 1943 in French but it is now translated by Richard Howard. Even after so many years, this book still continues to give children and people of all ages a valuable form of enjoyment. This book is loved by children and adults alike. The story is very heartfelt, and tender. This book is so memorable and unforgettable that it remains number 1 in my recommended books for children web page for a long time. This is a must read for any child or adult looking to enjoy a good book.

 

2. The Invention of Hugo Cabret  - ISBN 0439813786, 9780439813785. 533 Pages

This is among the finest books for children. The story is as impressive as the drawings or illustrations inside this book. We get to see Hugo, a lovable 12 year old boy, who tries to maintain the clocks, in doing so, he hopes to be able to keep his home and be able to repair the clock that his father cherish. The illustrations of this book are amazing. It feels like a masterpiece instead of a kid’s book which is why this has remained one of my most recommended books for children.

One of the best recommended books for children. A very wonderful story about the power of imagination. Harold holding only a purple crayon, he was able to draw a landscape filled with beauty and lots of excitement. This book reminds me of the power of our own imagination and creativity. In a sense that anything is possible and we the possibilities are infinite. This book has inspired me and a lot of readers also which is why this is in my recommended books for children web page. I’m sure this story will continue to inspire future generations about the endless possibilities we have.

 

5. The BFG(Big Friendly Giant) By Roald Dahl – ISBN 0141301058, 9780141301051. 208 Pages.

A very funny book for children. The BFG is a great story about an oddball giant. While the BFG is blowing happy dreams to little children, his brethren or other giants like him wants to eat the little children. So BFG is often bullied due to being different. The BFG is a very lovable character. It is very easy to relate to him and what he is going through. Together with little Sophie, they both go on a great adventure that is very enjoyable to us readers of the book.

 

6. Where the Wild things Are By Maurice Sendak – ISBN 0060254939, 9780060254933. 48 Pages

Among the best books for children. It is one of those books that also became a motion picture due to popularity. Although this is a children’s book, adults of all ages can enjoy it too. The characters and the events are very entertaining and enjoyable. The illustrations are also amazing. They compliment the story very well. Due to being so good, this is one of my recommended books for children.

 

7. Disney Personalized Children’s Books

Include 3 or more of your children or family members in a very well known disney story like Aladdin for example. Have your child be the hero of the story and have your child’s character interact with the famous characters of disney like Cinderella, Winnie the pooh, Mickey and Minnie Mouse and etc. Disney has a couple of personalized books for children. Not all disney characters will be in one book. You have to select the specific personalized book if you want a specific character or story.

 

8. Madeline By Ludwig Bemelmans -Series of books. Usually 48 Pages long.

One of the best recommended books for children. Madeline is actually a series of books. This book however is one of my favorites. We get to see Madeline being in pain due to appendicitis. So she has to go to a hospital. We get to see her adventures in the hospital. The book is very funny, and Madeline is just lovable. This is a must read for any children who loves books.

 

9. James and the giant peach By Roald Dahl, Illustrated by Quentin Blake

Another very popular book that turned into a motion picture. We get to see the adventures of James as he embarks on a journey inside a Giant Peach where he meets giant insects that became his friends. They all traveled together and face adversities. The book and the motion picture are very enjoyable.

 

10. Lion the Witch & the Wardrobe Centenary – ISBN 0001831526, 978-0001831520. 176 Pages

With the motion pictures or movies being so popular, who doesn’t know the story of Narnia? This is definitely a great book for children. This particular book is filled with illustrations which is just perfect for little kids. It isn’t too heavy and too complex that kids should have an easier time enjoying it when compared to a big novel. The adventures, talking animals and villains are very memorable. Reading this book is very fun and also very enjoyable.
